Friendly, knowledgeable staff and delicious cooking class. I had the pleasure of being picked up by a very friendly and knowledgeable driver upon arrival at the airport. He drove me to the hotel, and throughout my 10-day stay, he took me on amazing sightseeing tours, sharing his vast knowledge about Sri Lanka. the hotel also offers a cooking class taught by the owner's wife. It was a fantastic experience, where we learned to cook traditional Sri Lankan rice and curry. the food was delicious! Even if you can't take the cooking class, the hotel offers dinner at reasonable prices. the rooms at the hotel were beautiful and clean, with nice bathrooms. Although I didn't stay at the hotel, I would definitely recommend it based on what I saw. the location is also very accessible, close to Tangalle's beaches. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent staff and the opportunity to learn about Sri Lankan cuisine.

I recently stayed at Damith Homestay in Tangalle for a few days. The owners, Damith and his wife, were the friendliest couple we met during our time in Sri Lanka. Their English is quite good, which made communication easy. The room was the cleanest and most adequately furnished room we had during our trip. It was also conveniently located near the bus station, yet surprisingly quiet. Damith organized a tuktuk for us to the rekawa turtle watch at a good price, and even though he couldn't drive us himself due to an accident, he went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Lastly, I can't forget to mention the delicious rice and curry they served, with a huge portion for an affordable price. I highly recommend Damith Homestay for its exceptional hospitality, cleanliness, and value for money.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at this homestay in Tangalle! the location is perfect - just a short walk to the bus station and not too far from the beach. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep on the comfortable beds. the bathroom was spotless and the shower was excellent. Damith and his wife were amazing hosts, providing us with a delicious dinner and breakfast. the WiFi connection was perfect, contrary to some reviews. If we ever return to Tangalle, we will definitely choose to stay here again!
Nothing to dislike. 🙂.

The room was a good size and very clean. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the bus station and the beach. One advantage that I enjoyed was the helpfulness and friendliness of the hosts. They provided great recommendations for things to do in the area and even helped arrange a scooter rental for us. The breakfast we had was also very good.
One drawback was the slow Wi-Fi, which made it difficult to use the internet. Another negative aspect was that the meals were prepared ahead of time and were already cooled down by the time we arrived.
